Knock Sensor Relocation

I am attempting to do the knock sensor relocation as outlined on the thread that was posted here. But I can’t find M10 threaded rod anywhere. I have tried auto parts stores(3 of them) and 3 hardware stores. Any other ideas on where to find it? Also, do I need to have the harness and knock sensor or just the sensor to complete the job?

Yes you will need BOTH the knock sensor and the harness as you cannot reach the knock sensor or the attached harness without major disassembly!
I got my M8 - 1.25 x 100mm from a local hardware wholesaler who had to send it from Chicago...you might have to scour your yellow pages to find someone in your area who has access to either the correct size bolt or get the threaded rod. It was tough to find!!
