Knock Sensor Question

If i get the knock sensor code does that mean it was triggred and the computer needs to be reset to get the timing back to normal or that my knock sensor is bad?

I would first reset the computer, and see if the knock code returns. If it does, then I would replace the sensor.

I had my car inspected and when they hooked up to the ecm the check engine light came on. code 325. the shop reset everything and had me takea 22 mile ride. When I got back the light stayed off and I thought I lucked out. But when he hooked it back up to the inspection machine bingo on came the light. Now I have to change the sensor to get the inspection sticker.
