I went to get a code readout today b/c the CEL being on and it said knock sensor, o2 sensor, and some emissions code. Now I know from experience with Nissan engines the the knock sensor shows up for now reason sometimes even when the CEL is not on...I'm thinking I should just replace the o2 sensor and see what happens....the car misses a little when acclerating and it acclerates kinda sluggish...Has anyone had similar issues with this model? Or can anyone offer any advice?

Hi, I had similar issues when I first got my J. I did a Knock sensor relocate to the back of the engine, a cheap fix and the code went away. I cleaned the MAF sensor, cleaned out the trottle bodies and the intake and spark plugs, put electric grease on the coil overs and all electric connectors in the engine, and did an engine and transmission flush. Each thing I did brought back a little more power and zip. If your engine is missing on acceleration you may have an issue with a coil or spark plug or a clogged injector. put some Redline in your gas and really get on the engine at hi rev for a few minutes and see if you can't unclog the injector. I have not yet changed the O2 sensor on mine, but have heard it can cause power issues as well. If you have been using cheap gas, get some fresh premium and add a little octane boost for a month or so till the engine smooths itself out. This engine is awesome, but needs to be primped and spoiled.

thanks...im gonna change the plugs, add a little injector cleaner and see what happens after that. Does the J30 have more that 2 O2 sensors?

The J has two O2 sensors. Change your spark plugs out with OEM NGK's. A lot of woners have had issues with other brand or generic spark plugs.
