So I have this knock sensor harness but I'm not sure if it's okay or not.. When the car was running, I was getting knock sensor codes on the obd scan.. When removing the engine I saw that the end that plugs into the main harness wasn't grounded and assumed that was the cause of the code.. Now that I'm putting the engine back together, I found that the plug on the knock sensor side doesn't have a lead for the ground. After removing the wrap from the harness, I found that the ground was wrapped around the sensing wire(???)... Is this what it's supposed to do? I don't feel like paying $80 for a new piece of cable... Here are some pictures to better describe what I'm talking about..

(sorry about the depth of field.. )

Hi, sorry I can't answer your question about the ground, but maybe you can answer mine. I am relocating my knock sensor because I just don't have the $750 for pulling the intakes. I remounted a new knock sensor on the back of the engine. I plugged in the new subharness to the sensor, but cant find where the other end connects to. Can you steer me to the right location for the plug. Thanks, Lance

It should be around this area:

(Not my car, it's Klattr1's from KA-T.org.. It was one of the first pictures I found when searching for an engine shot on google..)
