Knock sensor go boooooooooom!

Could a bad knock sensor cause my car to not run any faster then 15mph?

well your car will run slower than it can but yes it will go faster than 15mph because my car has a bad KS but the car runs.

your ECU will think that your engine is knocking so retartd timing

even if it was in the full retard position, it would still go faster than 15.

is it 15mph or is the gas cutting out at 2k+ Rpm's? If it is cuttting out at 2k or 2200 rpm's it could be a bad maf sensor. I was getting a bad knock sensor error code but it was my maf.

i agree with komete, i think 15mph is right around 2k rpm's so check your maf connection, if its fine then the mafs is dead.
