Knock Sensor & Gas Relation???

Ok well my car's been throwing the knock sensor 34 code for a while now and i have the knock sensor i got off of ebay and im going to get the harness from infiniti tomorrow but im not relocating it until mid march im guessing due to the freezing cold weather...anyway ...down to my point...with the knock sensor retarding the timing all the time am i burning more gas or does this car just drink gas like crazy???any response would b appreciatedthanks

You're like asking the same question yes? But why are you waiting for the winter to be over before the relocation, it's very easy and quick, I posted pics here on where to place the new one. The knock sensor is causing you to use more gas than normal, so get that fixed and your gas problem should be over.

Or, as long as you are always using 93 octane, just use the resistor bypass until you can relocate.

true...its just that its like - 30 degrees celcius and like - 40 with wind factor here..i tried chnging my fuel filter last week before putting bg44k in my fuel and i froze ...with the heater in the garage on too...do you think you can show me the link for the relocation?

and yeah...im just loving the thought of having the power backits so addicting when my engines cold
