Off the top of my head I think KS code is 34...

Usually means your KS is out or the sub-harness from the knock sensor to the main engine harness is out.

Those KSs do go out pretty easily.

Are they brand new? For the S13 SR redtop?

Sorry to thread jack but mine is throwing the knock sensor code and it runs very bad. When the ecu thinks the car is knocking, it retards the timing and runs VERY rich. Just as a bit of advice, to replace the knock sensor its usually easier to go from under the car by jacking the car up, removing the wheel (just for more room to work) and possibly the starter. Its way easier this way than trying to get your arm under or through the intake manifold.

well im thinking its cuz my friend siphoned sum gas from one of the lease returns that he gets a his job and gave it to me cuz his car is down and needed a ride. might have been low octane so im hoping its that.the car isnt running bad or anything i just went to check the codes since i was putting in a tuned ecu and it gave me that code. to reset the ecu codes all i have to do is disconnect the battery for 30 minutes right?
