I am wondering if dropping a knock sensor from about waist high maybe a little higher on to a concrete floor will damage it?
I have my intake manifold(lower plenum) out and have direct access to the det sensor. I have removed the old one i just want to be sure the new one isnt damage and i didnt go through all the effort for nothing.

Thanks for the help!

I'd still put it in.

the actual sensors rarely fail, its the sub-harness that goes from the sensor to the efi harness that commonly fails.

I tested the resistance between the pins on the sensor itself and it was just about .55 or .56. I've been trying to research and I think that's pretty common but if I could get someone to confirm my sensor is still good that would be great! And I also have a brand new subharness so I know that will be good.
