hrmmm since the weather change here in va, my afc2 has been reading knock that constantly gains. when it's colder outside like at night, i don't have any problem at all w/ the knock sensor reading knock..but during the day when it's like 80-90 degrees, it keeps rising slowly but at the same pace. after driving about 20 or 30 minutes it's up to reading 40 knock.. thing is you can't hear a damn thing besides the loud injectors and an occasional usual rattle. also, the car has ZERO problems with driving under this pressure. how do i know this? i participated in a driving school for autocross this weekend and had at least 4 hours of seat time as well as the autocross the next day. i had multiple people be like "i don't hear anything wrong w/ your motor, just recalibrate the knock reading." Anyone have any input?

Check the knock sensor itself. Possibly loose. It's on the intake manifold side just underneath the two segments of the intake runners.

Yes its quite normal for the knock value to rise as it gets hotter. Dont ask me why, but I've seen plenty of cars do the same thing, including mine. So dont worry about it. If the knock value is 50 or higher than the 'resting value', then the car has pinged...
