Recently I have been having a knock problem. I have a stock S13 SR with the exception of an AVC-R and an SAFC II. The engine is in my '95 240. Recently my SAFC has been reading knock. It's reading about 20 units at idle, about 13-14 at cruising (with next to no load), and none under full or heavy load while accelerating. As a result, my car tends to want to stall out (or at least idle really low) whenever I come to a stop. I can't figure out what's going on. If anyone can help be out with this and give me some suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

I just read a post from a while back about the knock sensor reading with the SAFC II and it being inaccurate and I believe/understand this. However, I've had my SAFC for about a year and it has consistently read 0 for knock or maybe occasionally 2 or 3. It's only recently that it's been reading this high (around 20). So even if the SAFC is inaccurate the sudden change in readings is what I'm concerned about. That and the fact that my car tends to want to stall out or idle low whenever the knock is reading.
