well first i want to say i have nothing against knock off brands that copy other people work. i mean, thats just the way things are today. but actually stealing someones name and logo is another thing. that being said ive been researching on the fake Bride seats that are like 200 each. i believe most people cant really tell if theyre real and others say the REAL LEGIT Bride people can tell. bad stitching, crooked letters....and so on. theres no doubt theyre great looking seats though. most of the 240 community can not afford to drop at least 2 grand on seats. its a shame because whenever you see a cheap racing seat it always has to be bright neon colors and have a big R RACING! or some junk, but these knock offs actually look like the legit thing. nice and subtle.

now, does anyone have experience with these. i'd like to know if they hold up as well as the legit thing. i read a review someone made on nico about his but that was when he just got it. i know they look great to begin with. but 1-2 years later is a different story. and im not going to lie its very tempting to buy these. im interested to hear what you guys think.

idk seats and safety items arent something you want the "knock off version" even if they are visually the same

you know i would also really like to know. i have done a little research, and the knock off bride is registerd trademark in canada. so there is a canada Bride and the japanese Bridei have been iching for the Bride Gias low max on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...81731the only visable diffrence is the bride logo etched on the aluminum hinge. now i want to know why the brand name is like 2 grand a peice? prob wanting to recoupe the cost to research the designe. so if the knock off could copy and sell just above cost, then what would be the diffrence?

They look really nice, and are quite affordable. But safety is something I'm not willing to sacrifice just to get some nice seats.

I'll stick with my OEM leathers before I get into something that's known to crack.

Looks pretty nice, def a knock off though. I would save an extra 100$ and just buy a legit bride driver's seat used

i dont think you can find a used legit bride seat for 400. unless its in pretty bad condition. but anyway no ones ever had these?

Think of it this way, we mod car to upgrade, putting knock off in your car mean you're actually downgrading - worst than factory.

i know what your saying along with everyone else. i just made this thread to know if they hold up as well as real Brides. its quite obvious a seat for 200 is not going to be the quality as a 1000 dollar seat.

I bought my Zeta III for $400 used with Bride FG rails in near-perfect condition. Not that it's anything special, if you check Craigslist everyday or for sale sections in forums these kinds of deals pop up all the time...

They might just be an older model or factory reconditioned returns too.ALOT of ebay people catch you with that BS. But at least it's still a name brand... If they're just returned...

no bride reclinable seat is FIA approved. so if the knockoff breaks, a bride gia seat for $1,500 can crack as well.

as for quality: i believe these seats feel the same as real Bride seats.

to tell if the seat is aluminum or metal. stick a magnet to the seat. if it sticks, its fake.

well i bought my knockoff bride seats from ebay a week ago and they are nice. they are real easy to take apart. if anything breaks than you could fix it at home. and the company who i bought them through said the seats have a 1 year warrenty and he says he has been selling em for 2 years now and hasnt had any problems. and if you need them he can get parts for the seats.
