Beside MSD Knock Alert, what other company make something that work on our car? what about a DIY 0-5V read out for the Knock sensor? have anyone done it before? My wideband unit have 2 input that read 0-5v , then I can display them on my laptop. but I do want to monitor it all the time , You have any good idea ? I would like to read the knock fuel map mode as well? I believe the standalone can tune with it, but what about I just want to monitor it?

I have:

E-manageBoost sensor for the E-manage (2bar seutp)EGT Gaugewideband

I'm not exactly sure how a knock sensor registers voltage but I'm sure you could rig up a GM on or somthing simular, and mod this:http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0217/art ... larArticle to read knock instead of A/F's...

cheap alternative, this is jsut a theory I'm not sure if its do-able though

The knock sensor is on a 0-5V deal thingy. You could make your own, or you can buy a seperate gauge that is dedicated to knock exclusivly. Otherwise making something that reads on a 0-5v scale is not hard. Do a little searching and you'll find something.

Integral Knock Meter works good. I had in when I had an SR. If the knock sensors from SR to KA are the same I don't see why it wouldn't work on the KA
