ive been hearing all kinds of good things about this brand of turbos on the aussie boards (especially on CA18 engines) im planning on using one for teh ca20 build (the 430)

but on stock bottomed ca18s, teh kkr330s apparently hit full boost before 4k rmp on a NON BB center

theres one on ebay right now, its about the same price you can get them on .au websites

Don´t buy it, it´s China version of KKK.

Many CA guys here use the K24 from Volvo S60R, good for 400 hp and pretty easy to fit. Cost around 800 USD at your local dealer.

Now i dont feel so bad for not having heard of it. At least I knew about the KKK. Doesnt APEXI or one of those companys use the KKK?

Oh and I dont want to see any pics of gay guys inwhite dresses with pointy hats with so much repatition of the letters KKK.

KKK turbos are great. Same thing used on porsches, and alot of the RUF porsches here in dallas. KKK turbos are good the KKR turbos are knock off of the KKK ones.

Ok, this is hard to explain but I´ll try.

KKK build turbo´s for customers just like Mitsu does, the Audi K24 is not near as good as the Volvo K24.Nothing is the same, not flange, not oil/water connection or looks.

The Audi K24 version is old now and nothing I can recommend.

And yes, KKK in general is a good brand, same quality as Garrett. Used in VAG, Porsche, Alpina BMW, Volvo (since a couple of years) and many trucks.

Basically they manufacture them for dealerships. I wanted to run a K3T turbo from blitz, but I never knew where to get the flange.

Look into Borg Warner, several honda builders are having amazing success with Borg Warner turbos. Some of them are seeing higher HP and faster spool up usually 1000rpms sooner than a Equal spec turbo from Garrett.

quite a few guys on aussie forums run KKR turbos.Big debates ongoing.... no surprise. Everybody who actually runs them seem impressed. They should know.A popular ecu tuner was amazed at the performance he commented. This was a ca18det installed into an ae86 corolla, that had power to spare.

Surprising results even from the big ebay T-70 turbos run on some ca18s

post the us ebay like a f t e r you get sorted

Both KKR and other e-bay brands can work but for how long? Is it worth all the job just to find out they suck? You can probably find a few guys who like them but I know a bunch here already with huge problems...Not worth it IMO, buy an exhaust or other "non moving" parts from e-bay but not turbo´s.

To add to Swedish Argument here are some pics to entertain why you should never cheap out on a turbo.

ae86slut? posted details of his lime green ae86 on a toyota forumChina KKR turbos sold where he works. They inspected the units and seen the results of various models on a few different applications. If the KKR users report positive feedback, I'd consider that an accurate enough source. From memory, KKR supply turbos for a china car manufacturer. Will the turbos and the cars come 'unglued' ? I doubt it.I've read detail posts on the KKR and T-70 on some silvia forum a while back. The tuner, Dr Drift? has run the T-70 on his ca18 for some time. Will they fail ? Dunno
