Many CA guys here use the K24 from Volvo S60R, good for 400 hp and pretty easy to fit. Cost around 800 USD at your local dealer.

Ok, this is hard to explain but I´ll try.tyrannix wrote:
ive never heard if KKK, whats bad about them?like i said, i have only seen good things about them on the aussie boards.
while i was googling the k24, i see that audi uses KKK turbos
do you have any stories or numbers for either the KKR or K24 (didnt get much, but it was a quick google)
CJ
Basically they manufacture them for dealerships. I wanted to run a K3T turbo from blitz, but I never knew where to get the flange.Swedish Mike wrote:Ok, this is hard to explain but I´ll try.
KKK build turbo´s for customers just like Mitsu does, the Audi K24 is not near as good as the Volvo K24.Nothing is the same, not flange, not oil/water connection or looks.
The Audi K24 version is old now and nothing I can recommend.
And yes, KKK in general is a good brand, same quality as Garrett. Used in VAG, Porsche, Alpina BMW, Volvo (since a couple of years) and many trucks.

To add to Swedish Argument here are some pics to entertain why you should never cheap out on a turbo.Swedish Mike wrote:Both KKR and other e-bay brands can work but for how long? Is it worth all the job just to find out they suck? You can probably find a few guys who like them but I know a bunch here already with huge problems...Not worth it IMO, buy an exhaust or other "non moving" parts from e-bay but not turbo´s.
Here some nice info http://www.differentracing.com...drama/

dash wrote:quite a few guys on aussie forums run KKR turbos.Big debates ongoing.... no surprise. Everybody who actually runs them seem impressed. They should know.A popular ecu tuner was amazed at the performance he commented. This was a ca18det installed into an ae86 corolla, that had power to spare.
Surprising results even from the big ebay T-70 turbos run on some ca18s
post the us ebay like a f t e r you get sorted
