yea...i kinda see what your talking about. I was looking at that as well. I was going to get the vertex front bumper and mold off the nostrels (sp, to many rum and cokes tonight, lol)Yea I do like the INGS front.that was another front bumper i was looking at.

See, with the Trial I was going for something that hadn't been in a magazine. That front in on the Signal cars, kinda didn't want to copy. However if someone has seen Trial 180sx side skirts or rear bumper let me know.

Hell if anyone has seen side skirts and a rear bumper that they think would compliment the front bumper please fell free to let me know and show your suggestions.

Ok, I can see how you'd want to be different. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Trial never made S13/180sx aero parts. As for complementing the Trial front, I think the C-West side skirts and rear compliment the front very well. Notice how it has the "swooping" design that's on the Trial version. (compared w. the straight edge design of the Vertex)...

Now, onto some more options:

Do-luck S15 front, and then maybe using the 180sx (240sx) side and rear:

Garage Defend S15 front, and the Garage Defend 180sx side / rear:(not a good pic of the side and rear though, lol)

Impul S15 front, and another side / rear (Impul doesn't make S13 parts):

If you like the ings S15 front, here's a pic of the sides and rear for a 180sx:

I think if I ever went the S15 Sil-80 look, I'd probably go with the Garage Defend setup. To me, it's the most appealing... :) But either the Border, Impul, or Garage Defend fronts would all set you apart from the crowd of S15 conversions.

Yea C-West its kinda a bit to akward...yea sp on that on my 4th drink. DIESEL FUEL 190proof.But anyway...I liked the other ones as well.

lol, odd enough. I was looking again on the site where I found the Trial front bumper and found these. I think they would flow very well also. take a look...

and the rear bumper that goes with those sides...

....my thoughts on that rear bumper are still kinda iffy. But i think the side skirts will do good with the Trial front bumper.

thoughts? Oh I've also decided on lambo-ing my doors....but that will be the last thing i'm ever gonna do.

If you want something a bit more subtle, get the Garage Defend or Impul front, if you want to stick out a bit, get the INGS or MSports. IMO the Do-Luck, Trial and Kazama are a bit out there and look like they'd crack (not because quality but because they look a lot thinner on the bottom). But it's your car so do whatever you think would please you the most, also like dr!ft said, it would probably look nicer as a whole by getting similar lines. However, with the S15 front and Lambo doors, looks like you're going to be featured in ImporTuner soon ;] Anyways, try to keep it looking similar, do what you think would look best, not what others tell you, and think about exactly how much you want to spend on looks.

So just to clarify, youre not getting that rotora spoiler right?

I like everything, except the ear bumper looks a bit boxy, I hate seeing like '90 integras with a square bumper. Hopefully, you could find one that flows better. But that's just me not knocking your style.

I hope you get that 180sx wing though, and that the rotora one just got accidentally posted. I either like small subtle wings, or no wing at all.

I love it when I see the Honda's with their supra style wing. One time I asked a guy in a crx what that wing would do to his sub 1.6 litre FWD car. "Are you getting enough downforce so your FWD car's front end will lift up yet?"

lol, well I saw the Rotora spoiler on the Rotora car at Formula D and I though it looked pretty good. However pro drift car and daily driver 2 diffrent things. and considering that that spoiler alone is 1k.....doubt it now, lol. I'm going with 180 spoiler.

 I thought the 180sx type-x spoiler was more like:

_____| |

^ That. If I can find a pic I'll show you. I saw one on ebay when I was looking for kouki tailights.

EDIT: my ascii art sucks, so I just mean it kinda goes up and over then back down. nothing really fancy. it actually has a decently clean look, for a spoiler at least. I like how some poeple just have the spoiler fins, or wings at the end, and then no bridge across to connect to them. like wtf? i know your civic sucks, but do you really need those fins to help sink it to the bottom of the woodrow wilson bridge that fast when you loose to a grandma in a buick?

EDIT EDIT: I HATE ASCII

YES! That one. That one I don't think isn't that bad. But I might still go wingless, just depending on if I had a kit or not.

I mean, some kits just look better with a wing, some don't. For instance, I hate cars with those wide body kits, then have the stock size tires on them, and a giant supra style wing.

If I got a wing, it would be that one though. When you mentioned the rotara (sp) wing, that it looked like the 180sx I wanted to make sure we were talking about the same one. I think that wing is sexy.

And then again it could actual matter if you're going to be using a wing for its inital purpose anyways, to keep downforce on the back of your car so you don't fly away. Imagine that, using a car accessory for its actual purpose. And to think all those ricers claim they do in their front wheel drive car.

hahahyea if they like to lose grip on their front tires.

Hate me all you want, but, I found a 180sx bumper that makes me not want to change the front again, lol.Ever seen the Grams Light 180sx aero kit? I found that today and i really like how the front bumper rounds off the front and gets rid of the square look that the 180sx suffers from a little. However does anyone have any other pictures of this kit besides these:

I'd like to see the kit on a car in a lighter color so that I can fully see the curves and shape of it. If someone has this kit or has pictures of it in a diffrent color please show them.

If I like the curves and fitment this could be the final one. And I'd keep the 180 look. The S15 front is so cliche`, looks good but cliche nonetheless. And the S13 front (Sileighty, eh its cool but i'm trying to get around the square look that it has). I'm going for more fluid round like.

That kit looks really fresh. I would definatley say I like it A LOT better then the other kits. And I love how the back bumper doesn't remind me of a lego block, although it is hard to tell.

Just a little off beat question, when people say 180sx, are they just referring to a 180sx kit, which fits on the US version of the 240, and has the kouki tail lights? :pface

Whenever someone says 180sx I always end up thinking of the silvia front end conversion. Which then leads me to think, what the hell is the sil-eighty? So confusing at times. If you want I'll just make this a new thread, but I figured someone could prolly explain it in one post and then I wouldn't get flammed so badly, and we're on the topic anyways. Yes, I am a noob. :D

EDIT: I always figured the 180sx had the CA18DET engine, and what their equivlent of our 240sx would be their 200sx, since their version of our 240sx sports the SR20DET. I always thought the silvia was just the same car but with a little different mods, like fair lady z 300zx etc.

Well the way i understandthe 180 look is pretty much the same as the US 240 look. Has the pop ups but diffrent aero package and well motor, etcThe REAL Sileight has the S13 frontend on a 180sx body (US hatchback).

That help, of course I could get flamed.

But Yea thats what I was thinking to and the Volk CE28N wheels will set that kit off nicely. I'm looking at the Limitied Edition CE28 wheels in gold face with polished lip. Those wheels, the grams light aero kit, and black as the color of the car will set off nicely.

Yea definatley. I hate it when some people buy rims that dont go with their car at all. Konig makes new rims in lime green. It's disgusting. I have my top secret plan for when I get a 240 though... 8-) Once I get the basics done, and work my way up to a kit, I'm getting it painted pink. With black rims. I like a lot of the enkei rim styles, so maybe those.

Your ride is gonna look really fresh. Gotta post pics when you get everything! And throw in some step by step moron instructions for me. I'm not very mechanically inclined, I had a field day when I only took 5 hours to install my alternator. But then again I'm 17, and that freaking tensionor, omfg.

Thanks for clearing that up with me about the 180 and sil-eighty looks, at least I don't feel too much like a moron now.

:D

hey man age isn't a thing. The important thing is that your willing to get out therer and learn and get your hands dirty. I'm still young 19 pushing 20 and I had a S14 before my current S13. I didn't know crap...still don't, whats SR20DET mean, lol I'M KIDDING! But just get out there, read forums, tech sites, ask questions. Thats what the forums for.

You lucky B, I honestly have to say I'd trade in my S14 for a S13. More parts, cheaper, more options etc. You lucky guys... what I'd really like to do is keep around my S14 for a daily driver and get a S13 for a project/track car.

I want the full 180 ings kit. I love it so much. Im only 18 and ive done 2 motorswaps so far and im still going. I recently started the build on a high compression ka e/de which is a task. Its really not about age, just about determination.

Thats true also, very true. You'd be amazed how yhow young some people are. When I can get my 8year old brother away from the TV i get him to help me out...(he has smaller hands can get in tight places easier, lol) Hes 8 and he knows how a turbo functions, and what PSI means, lol. I must say he is pretty cool, lol

He we all gotta learn sometime right!!?!?

But anyway, Yea I had a S14, honesly sometimes I wish I still had it. It has more comfort then the S13. When I'm done with mine it will be much the same and better. The color scheme for my car is going to be glossy black, gold center rims and polished lip. Much like this S2K that I found:
