I have a 1990 s13 with a red top SR. One of the coolant hose that enter the firewall and go to the heater core is kinked, the bottom one. I cut a piece off the hose to see if it will unkink, but that didnt help much it is still kinked. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Jesus man chill out. All you had to do was inform him on what to do, not practically call him an idiot for that not coming to mind. Im sure I've made plenty of mistakes and asked plenty of stupid questions under stressful times with my vehicle.

But yes - to answer your question, just got your local parts store and size up a piece of hose that will fit it correctly. Im sure someone else on this board has had the problem and can probably tell you what hose they used and what vehicle it came off of and what not. Hopefully you get that car from overheating soon - Good luck!

yea buddy that is common sense but have you noticed how much space is back there, it not much. I've read of people pulling out their SR from their s13 just to replace that hose, i just wanted to know if anyone had this problem and how they solved it.

sry for being rude. but it is do able just takes a lot of time and effort. If possible take off your your transmission mount and jack up your transmission should give you a little more clearence. I didnt jack up my transmission though just sat on top the engine and played around that hose for a good hour or 2.

Good luck

what idid was cut the hard coolent line the got a small peice of hose to reattach it and rotated the end 180 degrees so it faced the right way but you still had the nipple for the turbo coolent line and way take the intake manifold off makes it a hell of alot easier
