I've turned the car off while ripping and it simply starts ripping again when the car starts back up. Not sure if a track is hosed or not but I have not noticed any issues.

I simply rip CDs as I'm listening to them on the way to work. By the time you're in the middle of the 3rd track the whole CD is in the Music Box. Unless you live less than 8 minutes from work, this method will be successful for you also.

I have done it with the car just in the "ON" position. Just make sure you keep your phone out of the car so if someone calls you.

My drive to work is 40 minutes long. I used to burn 3 or 4 of them one way.

well just to let ya know ... no it does not ripp when the car is off and i live less than two miles from work... i would walk or ride a bike but i work at a port jersey... and there is a insane amount of tractor trailers comming and going. so i would rather drive then walk or ride a bike and get ran over.. i have tried it once with a bike that was painted in all bright reflective orange paint and i wore all reflective cloths and still almost had a truck run me over. so no more of that

I have a short drive to work too. When I first bought the car, I did hours of ripping while it was in the garage with the ACC On. Ended up killing the battery :slap

So you don't need to have the car running, but don't do it too long as it really eats up power.

yeah i just been having the car running... as the guy at the dealer said riping cds and running the gps without the car on will eat the battery up... which i would of expected anyway... :yesnod

I absolutly love the musicbox feature!!!!! :dblthumb: i hated worrying about a cd getting messed up or switching between cds...

I love the "all playlist random" feature. I probably have about 80 CDs in mine. You never get tired of a song when you hear it so seldom.

:eekdance

Oh yeah....I didn't realize there were different music boxes. :squint:

16 is good :yesnod better than just playing one CD at a time like in my S2000. Just be glad you didn't live back in the 8-track tape days. :lolling:

yeah the 2010 models only have half the size of the 2009 Music Box.

the Tech package has nothing to do with it.

my 10G Box is half full.

Only 16? Luckily USB flash drives are cheap now.
