Kinda out there question

what do you all consider "midwest" ?

i live in Kansas City area, definetly midwest in most books, but i see people saying midwest meet in ohio and kentucky, or nearby surrounding states, i always thought midwest was considered to be like Kansas/Missouri/Nebraska/Oklahoma and surrounding states, is my idea off that much?

as i said way out there, anyways was curious what you guys thought

I think the KY people that refer to Midwest are from the western part, near Indiana.

Before I lived in Ohio, I considered Ohio/Indiana/Kansas to be the heart of the Midwest.

man, i have always wondered that too. so oklahoma is southwest? midwest? ..... man that is too confusing..
