I recently bought a Interstate refurb battery on 9/1/06. And today I tried to start the car the battery is dead. I even tried to use my schumacher battery charger and it won't work. The car though from that day I bought it to today was never started. Could that be a problem? I did start the car with the new battery in it when I got it and my car works.

you bought it sept2006? that should not cause a problem. cables tight? did the battery get subjected to a lot of heat? maybe a fuse is blown. do the dash lights come on?

the key word on his post is refurbished didn't know they sell those ... should fall under warranty

go get it load tested @ the parts store you bought it from...

w/out any voltage readings from a multimeter, i can't help you past what bc said about checking connections to the battery...
