Hey guys and girls kinda new here i signed up awhile ago and forgot about it ..... So i thought id finally make a post and tell a lil about me...

I first joined bc of my 93 240sx but now i seen theres a datsun section and thought id fit in with my other car.. Its an early 74 260z

right now there both in the state of being rebuilt

Ive had my datsun for about for about 6 yrs now i saved it from a junk yard for $300 running it was a lil rusty

My 240sx iv only had for 2 yrs but thanks to a deer its in need of a new front...

I know that the search button is gonna be my best bud... i have one question that doesnt seem to have been answered but if has im sorry ..

Is the early 260z really a rare car i`ve been told b4 that it is but also that it isnt thanks for any info on that and i hope to become a reg on here...

I`ll post up some pics as soon as i get my scanner workin again... oh yea my daily driver right now is a 91 acura.... i know its a honda but it really hasnt let me down sorry for the long post

the 260Z is rare in taht it was only available for the 1974 model year it used the same cylinder bore of the 240Z and the larger stroke of the 280Z, they started the 260Z with the smaller bumpers and carbs like the 240Z had and during the course of the year they added fuel injection and the bigger, heavier bumpers llike the ones found on the early 280Z's

the 260z is rare in that it was a single year offering but is no more collectible than any of the other z's as a matter of fact the first 500 production 240z's are the most sought after of the S30 chassis designation and even they are not quite what the collector comunity covets so they are a poormans collector car, I suggest you enjoy your car and preserve or modify it in whatever way you most enjoy

I have an early 71 204Z VERY modified, some would restore, but i want a car I can drive not just look at, welcome to the club
