The front passenger, both rear doors, and the back hatch locks are all controlled and powered by the same single connection / pin on the smart entrance control unit. If it were a fuse, a faulty module, or something else like that, then it would affect all these doors, not just the back hatch. This limits the problem to either faulty wiring, an unplugged harness, or a damaged actuator.
Are you sure you didn't manage to unplug the harness for the hatch lock actuator, cut a wire or pull it out of the harness, etc when you were playing around back there? That's where I'd start looking. Or did you pack so much sound deadening foam in there that the actuator can't move? Looking at the FSM, the actuator is actually a few inches away from the latch, and it opens/closes it with a lever/arm that moves back and forth.
I had similar problems with my hatch, but in my case I could hear the actuator moving. I just had to adjust it so it caught onto the latch, and problem solved. Sounds like this isn't your problem.
