i personally dont think theres anything stupid/gay about being able to actually use your dome light efficiently without having to whip out my cellphone light ha

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, buy LED dome lights. I have one and I haaaaaaaaaate it. It hurts my eyes and gives off really s***ty light.

Mine is a custom made circuit board with 9 LEDs in it.

16 was the most I was able to fit. MGE has the one with 16 LEDs in his car and it's just a bright as mine.

Not to mention I was just messing around with mine. I used 9 3mm LEDs on mine and used 16 5mm LEDs and they're the same.

If you want to hurt your eyes trying to look at s***, get LEDs. I personally with I would have kept my original one.

I made my domelight with 33 5mm led's in it. I am going to remake one for my other 240 using superflux's for better light. But that kit doesnt look too bad. Give it a try.

Not sure if you saw this, but this might help if you decide to do it...zerothread/242571

But I'm pretty sure someone did a DIY led write-up for this, but I can't find it...

I've also seen someone do an LED kick panel light, too. Maybe you should keep your bulb dome light and put LED's in the foot wells...

There is a reason why dome light are not suppose to be bright at all.If you have LED turned on while driving, you might not be able to see anything for a few seconds or longer. Your eyes takes some time to recover and adjust to light condition during night time.

lol... for some reason, my car doesn't sense my door being closed when I hit a hard bump on the road..

so at night, if I have my dome light on auto-on, its like lightning when I hit bumps at night.

That's because your car knows you're rice, and how often you thought it would be cool to have a disco light in there. Or, it's the curse of the vert.

I joke, my trunk is like that. You can try adjusting the striker plate to pull the door tighter to the body. It could also be that there is flex in the chassis. Hopefully it's just the door adjustment though.

Wander over to the Altima Coupe interior forum. This is a huge fad with the new owners but from the pics some of the LEDs are actually really bright. A lot of people got their's from VLEDS.

BTW, I also have their LED wedge bulb on my front position lamps (jdm chuki turn signals)... and by far they are the brightest manufactured led wedge bulbs I've ever seen.

I have one like in that first picture but its a board with stock ends to fit in the dome light connection. I like it. U have to get the new gen SMT LED bulbs if you want white, super bright just dont stare at it

my thoughts exactly..you are supposed to be PAYING ATTENTION to the road when you drive..not farting around with ur dome light and such

thanks for all the good links/pics/info

this will defiantly be my next [frivolous] buy lol

making custom led lights is not what im tryin to do tho..first of all..cus a bunch of leds is f*cking rice i just want to be able to see whats in my backseat at night for once lol

i wonder if they just make hyper white stock replacements..brighter than stock but not "blinding" like the leds

definatly wanting the bright ayss dome light tho ha

adrians_s13--do u know how many leds are in your setup??i saw a kit with led replacement for my dome/trunk light-$20 for both
