Guys

I've been in the RB game for a long while now, always secretly lusting over "the real thing"

I made a few smart business moves last year and have been quietly stashing my money away as I picked up probably 60+ car "side jobs" last year. A few weeks ago I flew down to Houston TX and drove this back to IL

The car was bone stock and within the last few weeks I've tossed on a Cobb AP w/TCM control, Downpipes, Midpipe, and 3" intakes. I've been rolling on the Cobb OTS tunes but have plans to upgrade injectors and go with a custom tune. The wheels have a little curbage and the windshield has a crack - both of which are being repaired this week.

So far the car is amazing, and I can't believe how subtle it is just cruising around. Tonight I took my 2-year old, g/f, and myself out to a car cruise in and had a bunch of people giggling there was a car-seat in the back. I keep telling myself I'm keeping this one to limited bolt on's but I haven't felt this addicted to modding since I got into RBs years ago! I also cannot believe how many people go ape-s*** over the car just cruising around. People barely notice my 300ZX anymore, in this car I have semi-drivers honking, entire families, and random people giving me the thumbs up. At the gas station last week some 60year old lady in a new altima came up and said "OOoooh i just love that car" haha

It's as much a Skyline as this is a Celica.

Congratulations Andy! My brother mentioned that you had picked one up. I'm happy to see that your hard work paid off and you were able to treat yourself to such a great car!

Most of us gar guys are really attentive to the way we drive, however - some people just arent (regardless of the price of the car)

The guy also had a 275 square setup on it which is a little small compared to stock so I'm sure that wasn't doing him any favors. I have a mobile wheel repair service coming wednesday thats had great reviews locally. I got a few other guys to go in on kind of a "group buy" thingie and he's doing the wheels for 100 per. If they turn out as good as they should, no one will ever know and its way cheaper than finding a 1500-2000 used set of OEM wheels

I'm sure it will eventually make it to the track, I just dislike the stereotype that all GTR's run 8 second quarter miles and the one's that dont everyone's like "awwwww man"
