Kim's S13.5 600WHP CA project!

Hey guys!

I decided to make a thread on here so I can debate and get some input on my 94, 200sx project.

I bought my Nissan in december 2012, and I had it since, a real slow moving project.

When I bought it it had a engine with a strange noise I couldent figure out what was, and it was missing our periodic inspection that we have here in Norway.

I replaced the engine with another CA that had new piston rings and gaskets, and fixed most of the bought kouki tail lights for it and some volk gt-c face 2 rims for it. I allso got the side skirts and rear bumber since it was fitted with a S15 front end.

Errors on the periodic inspection was:

1- Hangs on breaks
2- Cracked front window -fixed-
3- Need front light adjustments
4- Oil leak engine
5- High Co2 value (was running on 3 cylinders and cas wasnt ajusted)

Pictures are taken over time, I now have the car in a 4x10 meter garage I bought when I moved to my own place.

Here are some of my parts

Vi-Pec V44 plugin ECU and some gagues.


Chromoly rods and custom 9:1 compression pistons with 22mm pin


Mongoose turbo back 2.75'' exhaust




Tomei vavle springs


Oil cooler with greddy thermostat and oil filter, splitfire igintion coils.


os giken ts2b twin plate clutch, it has new plates etc.

Thanks man, the fenders are 50mm

Gonna start overhauling the brakes tomorrow, bought a 12-edge tool for my rims but it was 1mm to big so gonna need to change it tomorrow

They're called a torq bit here in the US. Looks good so far! Figured out what turbo you're going to run yet?

Okey thanks! I dont really know yet, I want to complete the chassie before I go more into the engine, and turbo technology gets better every day. I was looking at the BorgWarner EFR 7670, but im not sure Will be running E85

I have a small issue tho, was at tengtools to get the size smaller from 14mm, since it didnt fit. but they go 2 and 2 mm in size so the next one is 12mm witch is too small, so it has to be something in inches.

It might be 1/2". Float, torx are 6-point, so I'm not sure that would be classified as torx, would it? It could easily be described as a 12-point male socket in searches, though.

Kim, you have my dream S-chassis. I would love to have a CA powered S13.5 hatch. I really look forward to seeing this come together.

I've seen those silly things before. My Opel had head bolts that needed a tool like that.

1/2'' is 12,7mm, so im not sure. but I might give it a try. The 12mm was so small it didnt even grip, and the 14mm looked like it was 0.1mm to big only.

Yea they are a pain in the a**, tried to call a Nissan dealer to ask if they might have one, but nope.

Oh no. Do you have theft deterrent lug nuts? They take a special tool, designed just for the lugs. If you don't have that tool you're gonna have a rough road ahead of you.

Im not sure what it is, its not original thats for sure.

I called a wheel dealer and they said they only had 10-point male socket's, so I checked it and mesured it, and aperantly its a 14mm 10-point.

since it's holidays until tuessday im gonna have to wait untill then. then im gonna call them and ask if they have one that size !

Those lug nuts look like the generic ones we can get from Advance Auto or any similar parts store. You'd have to buy a set of lug nuts to get it, but the tool comes with them if you can find the same ones in a local store.

Could try welding a normal nut to the wheel nuts. Fill em up from the inside out.

No need, I talked to a local wheel dealer today, he lended me a tool to check if it would fit, and it did. So he's gonna order one for me.

I put the Ray's up for sale because I want to buy this Z32 Caliper Set and Z32 Performance Brake Package w/ 13" Front Rotor Upgrade and rebuild to 5 lug hubs, instaid of overhauling or buying new brakes for my S13.

Here is a picture I took of the rims I put on the sale ad.

You can buy rotors for the Z32 that have the 4 lug bolt pattern already drilled into them. So you wouldn't have to sell your wheels or change the hubs. I think circuit sport makes them, or atleast they did.

Or you could take Z32 rotor to the machine shop and have a 4 lug pattern drilled into them. People drill 5 lug patterns into 4 lug rotors all the time, so I see no reason why you couldn't do it the other way around.

Got the tools for the wheels about a week ago, took of the front calipers of today, gonna bring them to work tomorrow if I get some spare time to take them apart.

was thinking of puting the calipters in caustic soda to get them real clean then paint them.
