REALLY HOPE THIS GAME DOESNT DISAPPOINT!!!! Not a huge fan of futuristic shooters like gheylo (halo), but i thoroughly enjoyed killzone 1. Is it "futuristic" but Still has that gritty, wartorn, realistic feel to it. The guns aren't all phaser sissy guns as well.

Its going to be very hard for it to do well i think. Cod series has set the bar sooo high for multiplayer. One big thing i like about this game is they have adopted the cover system. Ive been wanting a cod4-ish type game that implements the cover system that R6 has.

So far all the visuals and gameplay look absolutely great. Nothing ground-breaking but i just love the dark gritty feel to it. Its not all neon-ghey-BS like in halo. Guns look great still, very cod4 like. Release is still over a month away, hopefully it doesnt get held back again.

Don't have a PS3 but I liked Killzone gameplay and story alot so i hope this does really well and paves the way for more sequels.

Even though I won't be buying it, I hope it's good. My beef with the Killzone games is that EVERYONE LOOKS THE SAME. Except the bad guys have red eyes. How do you even know who you're shooting at...nevermind the lack of creativity.

Aside from that, Killzone 2 looks like the kind of game I could enjoy. But I fear that amidst the mountains of hype that have followed this game for YEARS, (and the fact that Killzone 1 wasn't very good) this one just won't be as good as anyone hopes.

Im having more of a problem with that in COD5 than any game. Everyone does look the same from a distance, but cant really change what was worn in REAL life.

i found out a trick so you can play the demo!! just make a new user and make them from the UK!! then you can go to the UK store and download. Just make sure you dont hit "download in background" for some reason it freezes it or something. I just got done playing and its freakin sweeet!!

Now I really am torn.......the first Killzone was pretty good IMO, I hear nothing but good things about Killzone 2.......but new maps coming up for W@W. Is the game solid enough where I might be pulled away a bit from W@W?

just played it for about two hours, all i can say is HOLY CRAP. This is easily the best looking game ive ever played. The maps are crazy complicated and have awesome atmospheres to them. The controls are somewhat clunky compared to COD but its realistic. VERY VERY good thus far.

Played the demo last night........very impressive no doubt, but, the camera movement and controls feel very sluggish. Darn COD has spoiled me with the great controls and camera movement.

lol, screw the demo, i picked that s*** up!! i've logged about 5 hours online and 4 hours into the campaign and my biggest gripe so far was the adjustment from COD to KZ2 controls, but with a switch over to alternate 2 scheme it becomes alot more manageable the AI is phenomenal, even the down to the bots in skirmish mode. graphics are solid, havent chugged or clipped at all yet, just a few quickloads when it saves. unlocks online come slow, ranking up is not as easy as COD, but when you do you feel accomplished, lol. hope you guys are picking it up soon, NICO clan must happen!

hit me up to play whenever, psn smileonempty

So whats everyones favorite maps??

Im having a tough time getting kills with my sentry turrets. Seems they are really underpowered in this game. Im trying to get my medal so i can get airstrikes or whatever, but ive got 2 ribbons out of eight for my turrets. Most matches i can only muster up about two or three kills from them.

wow, ive already got like 13 hours or so online. just need a few more spawn ribbons for airsupport. absolutely love this damn game. havent even beat the campaign. got through four or 5 levels though. its really good too, its just no multiplayer. i love the controls mainly because theyre not cod4. i love cod4 gameplay, but the way kz2 plays just makes it a much better experience. the weighty feel is great. much more realistic than anything else.graphics are superior to anything ive seen yet. both online and off they look the same. frickin badass game.add mepsn: cuzidodgebulletsi play every night with my roommate. usually in a squad together because you can spawn on the leader if hes still alive. thats cool. if you see me on, just jump in.ill be playing this till re5 comes out, and then ill probably be splitting time between them. but for now, im just gonna be playing this.

Found the controls pretty damn sloppy and I really can't find a good way to spin that, they took out secondary fire for all guns and made the grenade launcher into a "bouncy grenade launcher" presumeably to appease the scrublords that can't deal with things more complicated than guns that shoot bullets. This game is Killzone 1 with nice graphics and a well sorted multiplayer all the things people complained about then are still here now so I guess magazines either had guns to their head when giving 10/10 5/5 or they base their scores on how pretty things look?

yeah ive just come to accept the controls for what they are. I guess if i were wearing all that equipment my aim would be clunky too. Just takes some time to get used to. Just alot grittier taste to it than cod.

I don't mind it much either since I'm one of like 10 people who though killzone 1 was brilliant, I just found it weird that the gaming journalism hated these same features 5 or so years back.

Great game, but no co-op really bums me out.
