OK...So I am dumping a good amount of money into my 240...and I would like to be the only one to benefit from this...catch my drift? Or do I have to snow again?

Anyhow...I would like to wire something up inside the cabin, but am unfamiliar with how the ignition wiring is routed/works....

Has anyone wired one?

Does anyone have a particular "wire" that would be a good candidate for a switch?

Does the AMP rating of the switch matter?

as soon as i find the kill switch diagrams i have, i will post them.

i know u must use a relay if you want to prevent burned wire fires.

Just run a switch for your fuel pump.

Ok, so I got all the pieces to that DIY, looks pretty cool, I wired it up and it works real good, just get an FSM that floating around the boards for the 200sx and find the ignition wire that waybtw: you can cut anything with the first relay, from the fuel pump to the ignition wire (most effective)

So you go it to work eh? Thats cool because I liked the "trickiness" of that design...where did you place the magnet?

Right in the center console. Locational wise, it will be by the place where I put my seatbelt in, that way, as I move to insert the belt, I'll swipe the magnet.

Not where you placed the reed switch...thats suppose to be a secret! I meant the magent to activate it, did you place it in a key fob of some kind?

Whoops, lol, the magnet, hmmm, I got this little keychain thing that was used for a car promotional thing, where you take the keychain, (which looks like a car alarm thingy), and try and unlock the car. SO I just took that apart and am currently in the process of making it fit a magnet. But for now I just use the magnet that came with the reed switch. kinda wierd to have a big white thing chillin with your keys though...

the magnet switch is interesting.

but you can splice the wires that put your car into the "on" position. this will kill spark and fuel.q

i just recently wired one of these up. It was pretty tricky. That diagram didn't help me. I just bought all the stuff from radio shack. The twoo that go the other way are power. Connect power to the + side and wire the reed relay as the ground. So when you swipe the magnet it completes the circuit and "pulls in the relay" This will cut power to the led and reroute power to "pull in" the second relay alowing your car to start. You also wire the always closed push switch as the ground on the second circuit. So when you push the button it will cut power to relay dropping it from the "pulled in" position and supplying power to the led.Hope that helps. I would take pics of mine but i have it hidden and taped into my wire loom so it would be impossible to take out without screwing it up.

Thanks man...so I take it you only deal with the "6" prongs that line up right?

well the 6 prongs that line up are going to be related to sending power to different circuits.

OK....so I take it you use all 8 prongs. I think I can do this, although a better diagram would be helpful.

wow, the reed and magnet is definitly a creative idea. I had a honda that I installed a kill switch in. Basically I just used a 5-pin relay and a single throw switch, and just hid the switch. The wiring was done to the KO position on the column. Worked great all I had to do was find a hard to find spot on the car for the switch.
