My Google-Fu has failed me...I was watching Kill Bill Vol 1 today and had a few questions.

1) What type of car is Sofie Fatale driving when The Bride pulls up beside her on the motorcycle?

2) What type of motorcycle is The Bride riding on her way to the House of Blue Leaves?

Come on, NICO....don't let me down! ;)

The bike is an older kawasaki ZZ-R or sumthin like that. The crazy 88's when they are surrounding Oren are riding Yamaha FZ-1 and R1

Nice...I had a feeling it was a Z car, but it somehow looked different.

Are there major differences between the USDM and JDM 300ZX?

bumper, tails, interior, headlights...minor things. im sure theres different engine specs too, i think the JDM cars had a freer flowing exhaust.

I couldn't really get a good look at it, but it just looked extra badass in the movie.

Difference in the JDM and USDM 300Z motors.... is like 10 HP. Nothing that major.

She had no idea what she was in either... i just took a trip to Z1 the other day because we have some friends who work there and omg... i have never seen so many z cars in my life. There at least 100+ in one little place. So many were wrecked it was scary. I saw one with a smashed weinshield and front in and there was blood all over the dashboard.

the US twin turbo was rated @ 300 hp. the JDM version, of course, was only rated at 280... but who wants to bet that there were NO differences.

the N/A version made 250 in the us... not sure about in Japan.

Lots of cars in Japan have "280 HP", don't they? ;)

Anyway, I was more interested in the body style than the mechanicals. Somehow, it just really looked different to me. Maybe it was just the JDM tails on it.

i thought the N/A american was at 222. and yeah, 280 was a gentlemen's agreement, i bet if any of them were dyno'd, it would be a wee bit more.

^^

something like that seth, Im not sure on the N/A outputs.

The agreement needs to go away. Keiichi said so.

280 hp was a lot when the agreement came along, but now its nothing. For many of Japan's companies to grow significantly, they need to compete with companies like BMW and Mercedes. They simply cannot do that with the power cap.
