Is there a way to reset the MPG on the dash display or is is just cumulative? I have a pretty stripped down module, but you’d think you could reset.

I think the Kicks is the same as most others, if you go to the trip info screen where mileage and distance are displayed, holding the "pages" button while on that screen will clear all the temporary info.

There is no trip info screen. There is a mileage reset button on the dash display, but that has nothing to do with MPG.

Here's what the OM says for the base model cluster (no VID display):

Average fuel economy (mpg or km/l)
The average fuel economy mode shows the average fuel economy since the last reset. Resetting is done by pressing the change/reset switch for more than approximately 1 second. The display is updated every 30 seconds. At about the first 1/3 mi (500 m) after a reset, the display shows (----).

So basically it appears the trip odo button clears that also.

Where in the manual did you find that? I tied it, but does not change mpg. I tried it on A, B and Odo modes. All it did was clear A and B trip modes

My model does not have the two gauges with the readouts between them. So, I don’t think I’m able to reset as when I push the reset, it never toggles to mpg, only trip A,B and odo

if you don't have the double gauges then you have the TFT (high-end) cluster with a VID display. See page 2-23 of the OM. Use the menus, clearing the FE data will either be through the drive computer screen or the ECO/Info settings. Most likely the drive computer / trip info screen, as I originally suggested.

Ok, I was wrong on how my dash looks, so here’s some pics. There is no way I can find to reset this. It just seems strange that your shown mpg would be a running average from day 1 of the new car with no way to reset.
