Does anyone know if the Illuminated kick plates are a factory installed or a dealer installed item?

They go for $250. I'll be buying some as a gift for my mom's EX. They are a nice touch. Little detail that makes the car seem awesome.

I might add that my EX was the first one the dealer had ever installed.
I guess that means that not many folks in Dallas have them.
