One should look at almost any part now as simply snapping on in one fashion or another, like 90% of the car assembly now uses a gloved hand only as the tool there.
The problem of course being that you have no idea of the configuration of any snap divots used there until the part lies broken in your hands. I always mark in my manuals any quirky motions needed once I study a removed part for future use. My Fords got famous for making multiple angle snaps so that you had to remove some then change angles or planes to remove the others. The idea of course to create more new parts sales when owner breaks them. Nissan at least shows the location of those divots to help figuring out how to unfasten them with no breakage. Ford? They don't care, simply charge owner with a new part saying it's made to break removing it.
