Keypad reprogram

Got a keyless entry keypad off eBay. Can't figure out how to program it. Help please. I tried the in out key 10 times that didn't work. I must be missing something or y battery is dead in the keypad

if you go to the qx4 how-to section, there is a list of FSM (factory service manuals) all the instructions are in there.

I don't remember exactly everything but make sure all the doors are closed properly. I believe you lock the doors once you're inside then stick the key in and out of the ignition 6 times in 10 seconds. The four way flashers should blink and then press a button on the keypad. If I remember correctly that might work.

Before you press a button on the keypad, insert the key into the ignition and put it in the ACC position.
