Keyless Remote....

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Didn't this in a search...

Just bought my daughter a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S "Special Edition" Only came with one key. I figured with the car being a "Special Edition" it should have the Keyless Remote feature. Bought two remotes off eBay. Using the instructions to program remote. I can get the car to go into "program mode" But the remote doesn't program. Remotes are good, as well as batteries. Have programmed to my Infiniti G35 Sedan (2004).

When buying the remotes. The seller has a crap load of Nissan's and Infiniti's listed that the remotes work on. They also asked for the car I was buying the remotes for when purchasing. I put in for both cars, as the Infiniti's old remote has a broken case.

So here's the question...

Does anyone know if the internals(electronics) of the remotes are different from vehicle type to vehicle type? Not sure where to go from here. I have messaged the seller, but haven't heard back yet.

Also was wondering if you an get a "Build Sheet" from Nissan? By "Build Sheet I mean a list of everything that was on the car when it was built. Chrysler has a spot on their website, where you can enter your VIN and request "Build Sheet" and one will be emailed to you within a few days. (did this for my Grand Cherokee) Just wondering if Nissan has a service like this. Don't really need it, but was nice to have on the Jeep as I wanted to know if it had a tow package, and the trim level (had a question about what trim level I had. It was listed on insurance (from running VIN, and on registration as having the TSi package, though the Jeep is a color that wasn't available on the TSi. Turns out with the Jeep I have a custom factory order, one off vehicle).

2004-2006 Nissan Sentra Keyless Entry Remote with FCC ID CWTWB1U429

Nissan has been fairly logical about the usage of its keyless entry transmitters. However, there is one situation that confuses our competitors and consumers alike. Nissan used an iconic 4-button keyfob on nearly all Nissan and Infiniti sedans during the middle of the last decade. (Usually, it had FCC ID KBRASTU15 on the back of the case.) However, for the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Nissan Sentra, the keyless entry remote used has FCC ID CWTWB1U429. It is Nissan part number 28268-6Z700 (formerly 28268-6Z600). What is confusing is that this remote looks exactly like the 4-button KBRASTU15 remote, but the two are not interchangeable. So, if you are buying a replacement car remote for a 2004-06 Sentra, be sure you get the correct part.
Part NO.: 28268-6Z700 http://www.nissanpartszone.com/parts/ni ... 6z700.html There's a link on the page that allows you to check compatibility by entering your VIN.
