Thanks for the reminder, Mike. I have the FSM on my lap when doing this procedure but I may have forgotten that last, little step. I'll try it again just to be sure I've got it covered.goody94q45 wrote:I'm sure you know this, but when you are at the end of the programming sequence the last step is to depress the lock button on each of the remotes you are trying to program.
If you program one remote and then go through the entire sequence again for the second remote, it will unprogram the first. I just got a second remote a couple of weeks ago, and it took me a couple of tries, back and forth like you, to figure this out (even though the programming instructions were clear about this). Good luck.
Well the problem was not the BCM or the Anti Theft Keyless Remote Module either. Wes's remote works on my car and his car without issue. I will now go and get a brand new battery in my old remote and give it a try. The new remote while pretty and new (purchased from ebay) does not appear to be the correct model so that seems to be the reason it never worked. If the battery is not the correction, I am back at square one.CINNALOCKS wrote:I was able to go out and go through a series of attempts to reprogram the new one, since I sent the old one back to the seller. I have had no luck getting the vehicle to accept the program. So it may well be the BCM. Dammit, I have owned the Q for about 4 years and have never had a remote so I was stoked when it worked...... for all of two days.
Now I have to have it!!!!!!! I am now looking for a BCM .
