Hi there!

The buttons on my keyless remote stopped working a few days. Everything on the car itself works, I can unlock/lock the doors by pressing the button next to the door handles, I can open the trunk from the inside , I can start the car. But none of the 4 buttons on the remote will work.

Was wondering if there was a battery in the remote just for the buttons or maybe a fuse??

Yes the fob has a battery. It's usually a Lithium 3V CR2032 battery that you can change yourself. This battery is available everywhere for a few dollars. Come to think of it, I believe my local dollar store sells them.

Thanks for the link.

I surprised to see that there's only one battery. I'm able to start the car so I thought that the battery would still be good. Also, on the dash display I remember seeing about a 50% charge on the remote battery.

The CR2032 is a workhorse battery. The fob doesn't require a lot of power, so there's only one. The car receiver is designed to recognize the fob with a dead battery and allow you to start and drive the car, so as not to leave you stranded.
