Keyless remote not working

One of my keyless remotes does not work... cannot open doors nor start the car... keyless and button feature doe not work but the key provided does...any ideas? btw i charged it for about a half hour and still nothing

The remote can not be charged - it has a regular battery in it. The slot that you put the FOB in will not charge it - simply will enable the car to read the code from the chip, that's it.

So, I guess it is time to have the battery replaced.

Welcome to NICO!

As mentioned above, the key remote does not have a rechargeable battery. You need to replace the standard coin battery that is inside ... I think it is a 2032 coin cell (but may be wrong on that number - check your Owner's Manual!). Try to get a silver-oxide or lithium (rather than alkaline) coin cell battery as they should last longer.

If it still does not work after that, it may need to be re-programmed at the dealer (remember to take all the remotes in, since the process resets all of them at the same time).

wow..i always assumed all nissan/infiniti keys were charged via that port. Thnx guys ill try the battery swap
