Keyless Remote Not Working Properly 99 1/2 QX4

The keyless remote on my 99 1/2 QX4 sometimes will not unlock the car. I can press lock and then unlock again and it will work. This doesn't happen all the time but is fairly frequent. I replaced the battery less than 6 months ago. Is the remote going bad?

could be the battery as something may have been layed on the remote when your keys were sitting somewhere and it drained the battery. If replacing the battery doesnt resolve the problem then yes the remote may be on its way out.
