Keyless Remote Chirp no longer works

Fellow Forum Members,
I already know that by pressing both the UNLOCK and LOCK buttons at the same time on the keyless remote you are able to change between quite lock mode and chirp lock mode.

However, in my situation I'm pressing both buttons and I hear one honk after two seconds of holding the buttons down. But afterwards when I hit the lock button no CHIRP is audible. For some reason my CHIRP mode has disappeared and no longer works.

Why does my CHIRP mode no longer work? All I'm able to do with my keyless remote is close all the doors with no audible CHIRP noise. In addition, my car alarm with the horns activated itself for no reason a few hours ago. I had to turn it off with my keyless remote.

Obviously, I have something strange going on with my keyless entry / security system. Any opinions will be welcomed. Thanks in advance.
