I just bought a 2005 Nissan Maxima. The car is great...the keyless entry is not. It does not work, I tried reprogramming it. Got in car, locked doors, inserted key a gang of times until hazard lights flashed when key was pulled out, reinserted key and turned to acc, pushed door lock button on remote...nothing...Changed battery...nothing...What to do, what to do...

It is still under warranty? If so, make use of it. If not... hmmmm. Could be that the remote unit is broken. Have you dropped it in a puddle, or tossed the keys to a buddy who can't catch and dropped them? Other than being broken (irreparable), I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Yeah, it is still under warranty...I just hate going to the dealership...I figured it had turned POS on me, oh well...I gotta go and try to convince them to cover the latch on the center console that covers the drink holders anyway, something happened to it, and long story short it will not latch closed...do not know why, but it just won't...

Anyway, glad to be here...this is my first Nissan...I never really knew anything about them, so I was a bit standoffish about owning one until I drove this Maxima...Man, what a fun car to drive...kinda like a lazy-boy on wheels...and one with more power than I would have expected...

Sorry, I forgot to welcome you. Yeah, the Maxima is a great car. comfortable, and fun. Once you start messing with the suspension, they are not as comfortable, but a lot more fun. I was never a big Nissan fan, until I owned one. Now I can't imagine anything different.
