KEYLESS ENTRY WARNING BUZZER CARD??

Hi. New to my 2016 X-trail (Rogue) with lots of whistles and bells... and a few issues.

I am doing some front end work on the car and see this unit mounted to the passenger side of the radiator called a " KEYLESS ENTRY WARNING BUZZER CARD"


Can anyone tell me what this is for or when it is supposed to buzz?

I suspect mine is not working since it was off and full of water...

If you leave the car running and close all the doors with no key inside the car, that guy should beep 5~10 times. Same thing for key-on-engine-stopped and doors closed but no key inside the car.
