hello, i have read dr. john's instructions on reprogramming the remotes but the hazards did not flash when i put the key in the ignition 6 times...

my car is 98 se but it has no alarm. it has the power locks and windows but the little red led is missing. i bought the remote from my dealer and i am wondering why the hazards do not flash after inserting the key. i dont want to spend $30 or so to have someone program it in 5 mins. any help is appreciated, thanx

you may not have a control unit for keyless entry. Generally if the car doesnt have a security light it doesnt have it.
