Keyless Entry

OK, I got the keyless entry for my car.. 1995 240sx SE. OK, is there away to set it so when I unlock my doors the inside celing lamp goes on?

i want keyless entry, whered you get it, how much? id also like remote start to, just have to make sure its out of gear when you start it:oface haha, my friend had to learn the hard way, it jumped right into a tree

could you have a trunk release on an s13 hatchback, or does it need to be like a power trunk release or something?

My keyless entry unlock button turns the dome light on automatically. If its an oem setup you should take it back and get em to fix it. If your really in a pickle, email me and I will send you the entire 95 FSM.

yea my remote locks turn on the dome too, but its not OEM...

wtf...i took it to the place.. the guy stuck the key in the ignition turn it so teh lights when On in teh cluster... held in the big gray button... and then that was it..

wierd. Usually when you hold it in (i think, or when you press it twice) the passenger side lock opens. I dont know why that would only trigger the dome light though.

Or as you saying it is totally fixed?

yeh, when I hit it twic the passenger side door opens.. but the damn light won;t turn on when the doors are unlocked..

in this catolog i have, it's a keyless entry and trunk release, but it says "releases power trunk or hatch" Power?

the model alarm has a trunk release option, but the trunk release on a hatch is a mechanical mechanism, so the alarm cant operate it....

do you have your door handles still? just curious cause here at the track, they wont let you run unless you do

if you don't care for the dome light turning on when your door unlocks, you can install your keyless entry system by yourself (your car must already be equipped with automatic door locks). on 240sx.org in the faq page, there's a wiring diagram. you basically connect a hot and a ground. then you connect a wire to the unlock wire and another one to the unlock wire. both of which should be underneath your dash on the driver side. these wires are basically coming out of your lock/unlock switch on the door. i also hooked up a wire to the steering wheel column to retrieve the signal so that my parking lights flash when the door locks or unlocks. if anything, you can always disconnect if you don't like it. DON'T FORGET TO RUN A FUSE ON THE HOT WIRE.

My aftermarket alarm turns on my parking lights and all my dash lights! It's really cool.
