Do any of you guys have keyless entry on your S13, if so where did you get it and for how much? Does anyone also have a remote starter? Would those work on manual cars, considering that you have to press the clutch in to start the car? and does anyone know how hard it is to hook up keyless entry?

I know someone that is going to install keyless entry in my s13 soon including hatch for $60. After that I'm going to put a remote starter in ....which won't be a problem because I have an automatic but I believe if you want to do remote starter on a manual you have to disable the neutral safety switch and don't ever forget it's in gear and remote start it!

umm... that I'm not sure but with a FSM I could probably figure it out in 5 mins. So if you have a FSM just look in there for it and find a way to disable it.

i dont think there is any downsides. i had an 87 civic and the switch never worked. just always start it with the clutch or leave in neutral.

rolling meadows.

keyless is easy, remote start is a pain to put in. be sure you hit the right cold start wire or you won't get a good start when the car is already warmed up. you don't have to disable the nuetral safety, just teach yourself never to leave it in gear. mine worked great for 7 years, it was a codealarm remote start module. i am not going to put in my new one, so if you want to buy it, let me know. i have the original manual from when i installed it also. 100 bucks or less sounds good to me or a trade for parts.
