Okay...so I must be running out of things to do. Does anyone know what I have to do inorder to be able to use a factory keyless entry button thingy in my 92 active Q. Yeah I know this is petty too. Thanks

I know but I was thinking about retrofitting one from a later year. I just don't know how it works..

Save the time and get an aftermarket... Youd need to redo everything, as theres no harness to plug in the remote control module...

My system is a Crimestopper II installed two years ago. Works beautifully. I can sit in class and remote start my car on cold/hot days. I haven't tested the range, but its pretty darn good. The key fob has a handy on/off switch to keep from starting the car by mistake (or use it to switch control to a second car).

$290 installed for remote start/keyless entry at Aspen Sound in Spokane WA. About $120 for just keyless. The Crimestopper system is usually the cheapest full-featured system on the market, excluding the crap sold at Wal-Mart.

I also have a Crimestopper, without remote start. I've never had a problem with it.

Look at DEI. Clifford Avant Garde is top of the line, but you don't have to go there.

I've been very happy with my Viper 550esp in Q2. Looks like the updated model is a 560. It's an major update to the old Viper that has been in Q1 since I bought it in 1996 and then a Maxima for a year before that. The remote range is far greater with the newer alarms. Both have been very reliable...
