Keyless entry not working

I have been having problems with my remote not working. I have changed the battery and even got another remote but they won't do anything. What else do I need to troubleshoot to see what's going on?

Just to cover the bases, you programed the remotes into the system right? When you press the button is there any clicking or other noises if your in the car? Also does the power lock system work in general?
