I was wondering if anyone on here has hooked up there own keyless entry or security system? I just bought a autopage rf-225a system and the local shop wanted $170 to install it. Im looking at all the parts that came with the kit and it looks like a lot of work and an lot of things could go wrong. I was wondering if it was a pretty simple installation for you guys.

if you've never done one before then it may take you a couple days to finish. Find someone who knows what they are doing and see if they will do it for cheaper.

Pretty easy to install imo.
Follow these two guides. http://www.modifiedlife.com/1991-nissan ... schematic/
http://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page2.asp The trickiest part is wiring the door lock/unlock system. Depending on the alarm system you have, one or two relays will be needed. The rest is self-explanatory.

Good luck.

i have done 2 of them on s14's. if you are comfortable with wiring, then its not hard. it looks like a lot there, but just do it one wire at a time. also make sure you solder everything. you dont want problems later on

one other thing, when you do it, go on the12volt site and make a diagram of which wire colors go to what. and void out all the wires on the alarm your not going to use. you will only use about 70% of the wires on the alarm itself.

the alarms i wired were viper ones. so i cant offer much help on that specific one, but still shoulnt be much different.
