hey newbie here

got my black g37 keyed this weekend and i wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience? where did you take it to get repaired? bodyshop or dealer?

the scratch is about 10 inches long, about 70% of it is not deep at all but the rest is pretty deep.any help would be appreciated and im glad to be here! =)

p.s. anyone know how to increase the exhaust sound on the g37?? is there a valve to pull off by the exhaust? or what thanks!

If on metal other than aluminum then that may change things. If you want it done correctly then I would go to a body shop and depending on your insurance you may end up making a claim. The point here is not only to get rid of the scratch but whatever future effects it may have. Touch up paint may be able to make it disappear but you want the protection the paint offers.

I'd put some 'Lakers' on it.

My 05 coupe was keyed by an angry girlfriend that thought my car was her boyfriends...

Cost me around $300. I also had them do the front bumper as it had some chips. (an extra $200).

The dealership recommended the shop to me...and the shop gave me a 15% discount because of the dealership!

So why didn't you make her 'pay' or did she 'pay'.

If she had done that to my car she would have payed with her face.

I never understood vandalism at all. Especially not aimed at a car. What did the car do? It is innocent.

I never met her...this was the rumor when I went in and asked. My word against hers. Wasn't worth the trouble.
