yeah right??i believe that letter "J" wasss going to be spelled JEW..cause thats what i am...but i guess the a-hole got scared off by someone or something while doing it to my car. i called the autobody that i go to...and they couldnt even give me a guestimate on the price. they would have to repaint the whole car.....any painters here that would maybe know the estimate on the pricing of painting pretty much both sides of my car lol

Man that's really s***ty. With that much damage done to the paint they're probably right on painting the whole car. The reason for this is they don't want you back complaining that the paint doesn't blend or match well in certain spots (which will happen most of the time). You'll be able to see where it will blend it.

I don't think it will help though :P.

My opinion on it is to get the whole thing painted for sure. I know it's going to cost a crap load but it will be worth it in the end. There are some shops that can blend really well but it's never the same.

That really sucks though. I have a few scratches in my paint as well from people's doors/bookbags, etc. People suck. I try my hardest not to scratch other people's cars and then other people just don't care or do it purposely.

Goodluck getting it fixed man! That just looks so painful... Our cars really are targets for a**holes who are jealous of other people`s hard work to pay for their cars.

cant really tell how deep the scratches are but try taking them out yourself. Dude, I just got done detailing my own car yesterday and damn it looks so clean and wet. Some scratches that I can see before are now gone. Damn spent 7 hours on the car yesterday and all worth it. Washed, removed water spots on windows, clayed, polished, and then waxed. But ummm, since your car is dirty, I guess a nice detail would be great right now. Talk to a detailing shop about how to get them out. If its not that deep, it could some out.

Or since you have insurance, just get it repainted. Instead of gray, get them to paint it some other color you want. Try getting it painted that 350z orange color. Would be cool to see an altima coupe with that color.

*edited*I have Geico, i thought they do cover that?

The "haze" from the scuff marks on that BMW is just the clear coat, maybe into the paint on some areas. The key marks pictured are clearly down to the primer, only way to fix it is to shoot paint. Given that they pretty much got nearly every body panel, you'll likely need the entire car painted. As mentioned, in this case the best bet is to work through your insurance company. Most people elect to get lower comp deductibles than collision as it isn't that much more expensive ($250 deductible isn't uncommon), but obviously that depends on your policy.
