key wont turn

sorry i poseted this in the sr forum before i saw this oneok i have a 91 AUTO s13 that i just swapped in an sr20det redtop. at first i couldnt get the kep out when the car didnt have a battery. so i moved that little pin upwards thats next to the key relase button and then it would come out just fine. now that the battery is in, the key will go in, but it wont turn from there, it is stuck in the "lock" position. any ideas what it could be? something around the shifter maybe? thanks for the help. last thing i need to finally start the car for the first time!

have you tried rotating your steering wheel and then turning the key?

Hey whats up, first you need to put the pin back in you probably sprain the lock. You needed battery power to release key.
