key wont turn
simple question:put the key in, doesnt turn, just stays in the first position, i think it says "1" car is 91 dohc AUTO fastback, sr20 redtop into it. ive done everything i can think of to the car as far as wiring goes.called mickinney motorsports, said i needed to remove the cable that goes from the shifter to the ignition. i looked all around for it and saw nothing! any ideas?

yeah it used to, is this caused by the wiring next to the shifter? i figured its from that but i dont know exactly which wires to connect. i tried the yellow w/red stripe and blue with black stripe, but got nothing. i saw which ones to connect on a sohc but the colors turned out to be different on my dohc. doh!

If you go from a Auto to Manual you have to ground out the Park signal sent from the Auto trans. This sensor makes sure the auto is in park to start. You have to ground this out so the car thinks its in Park all the time.

well sadly the whole problem turned out to be a crappy key. i put the key in, and pulled it back out about 1/8 inch and then it cranked over. the sr started after about 1 second like it was brand new, i love itim kinda worried though, cause if i rev it real hard, real quickly, when it drops back to idle it dips real low and almost dies. maybe its because im just running an open downpipe? exhaust hasnt come in the mail yet.
