Key Won't Open Doors???

I recently got a '95 Nissan Altima from my uncle, but the keys he gave me don't work on the door locks? They turn in the hole but don't unlock the door. I can start the car fine with the keys but they don't work on either doors. Is there a separate key for the doors or is there something wrong with the doors?

I learned that the ignition switch is a common fail item. Did he also buy it used? Its possible someone replaced the ignition cylinder and installed a used one with its own key, instead of getting the old one reset.

you need to have a new key cut. the key wears down and doesnt function on all the locks for some reason. happened to me. had a new key cut and no more problems.
