Key will not turn in ignition & the wheel is not locked (Nissan Sentra GXE 2001)

Help, lately I've had to play with the key while inserting it in the ignitiion of my Nissan Sentra. No the wheel is not lock and I can't turn the ignition on. What can I expect in costs to get this problem fixed?

depends what the problem is, if the key is f-ed up, all gnarled, a new key plus programming could be like 150 at a nissan dealera steering lock (key cylinder/steering lock is one assembly) i think runs about 200 for parts and is pain to replace
